...huddled around in a circle shoulder to shoulder on Tuesday night there was not only an increasing level of heat but also a buzzing excitement that filled the air upon the anticipation of the presentation of Ellery's SS10/11 catwalk show. And when the first model strided out from the shadows in raw edged brocade flares with a 3/4 crystal and sequin detail top I knew I was in heaven and that there could be no wrong done by this show. It was amazing...
Kim Ellery is a designer who wears her clothes perfectly. It is a label that oozes coolness and creativeness upon the person wearing it and it is designed with this character in mind (there is no doubt that flares that wide can be worn by anyone). The crowd at an Ellery show is almost as inspiring as the show itself- the concoction of art scenesters, bloggers and musicians mingling amongst the fashion editors creates an inspiration storm- a storm i'm very grateful to have been swept up in.
